1866 – On January 16, thirteen people met in a log building at the corner of Factory Shoals Road and Knox Springs Road to constitute a new Baptist church. Twelve Articles of Faith were adopted. The Rev. B.F. King was called as the first pastor, but only served for one month due to poor health. The Rev. A.C. Mitchell was then called and served as pastor for approximately three years.

1871 – First building on the present site was constructed. A plain slab building with wooden shutters.

1877 – Mt. Pisgah is one of six founding members of the Concord Baptist Association (today the West Metro Baptist Association.)

c. 1900 – The second building on the present site was constructed; a wooded building with seating capacity of about 100. 

1935 – On August 11th, a new two story 40x60 brick veneer sanctuary was dedicated. This is the third building on the present site and is the middle section of the current property.

1947 – The Rev. J. Edwin Wix called as pastor. Pastor Wix served until 1979. Five acres of land across South Gordon Road were purchased.

1948 - Pastorium built, the first in the Concord Association.

1954 – On October 17th, a 40x80 two-story brick veneer education building was dedicated. This building is the rear building of the present property.

1955 - Sanctuary was redecorated with carpet, a Hammond organ, and partial air conditioning.

1961 – In November, the present sanctuary was completed and dedicated. It was financed primarily by selling church bonds. It is a steal, concrete, and brick structure of colonial design. The Sanctuary had seating capacity of 1000.

1964 – Property across Blairs Bridge Road was purchased. 

1966-67 – Old Sanctuary was renovated into classrooms, bathrooms, and space for the new Kindergarten program.

1974 – Second Pastorium is built and occupied. This is the current pastorium.

1979 – The Rev. J. Edwin Wix retired after 32 years as pastor. 

1980 – The Rev. Ernest Kelly served as interim pastor until 1981. Dr. Kelly would serve as interim on three other occasions, in 1991, in 1999-2002, and in 2006-2009

1981 – The Rev. James V. Rock called as pastor. Pastor Rock served until 1991.

1991 – The Rev. Harold V. Olson called as pastor. Pastor Olsen served until 1999.

2003 – The Rev. Byron E. Edens called as pastor. Dr. Edens served until 2006

2009 – The Rev. Michael C. Crawford called as pastor. Dr. Crawford served until 2018.

2015 – Jeffrey R. Davis was called as Associate Pastor.

2016 – Music Minister Stanley A. Turner is elevated to Associate Pastor

2016 – Mt. Pisgah celebrated 150 years as a church

2019 – The Rev. Jeffrey R. Davis called as pastor. Pastor Davis is our current pastor.

2020 – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sunday services were held as “Drive-In Church.” Members parked in their cars in the ball field across South Gordon Road. During the COVID-19 shut down, the Nursery and Preschool department was renovated.

2020 – The church adopted a new Constitution, Statement of Faith, and Bylaws. The church moved from a single elder/pastor to a plurality of elders. 

2022 - The Fellowship Hall was renovated following a car accident that struck the main building.

2023 - The Rev. Paul Kumar called as as Associate Pastor for Community Outreach.
