Our Story

“The Gospel of God is stronger than all other things, strong than civilization, commerce, and education and other things together.” Written in 1866, those are the first words written in our church’s history.  Mt. Pisgah has had a long and thankful history of Gospel ministry in the South Cobb community.  Our history reminded us of God’s faithfulness and inspires us to greater work tomorrow.

Our Beliefs

It’s a beautiful thing to see God unite people from all different walks of life in shared, biblical beliefs. Our beliefs are rooted in the divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We are passionate about a theology that challenges the mind and stirs the heart for God’s sovereign grace in Jesus Christ. Our Statement of Faith is a summary of the biblical doctrines that unite us as an evangelical Christian, congregational, and Baptist church.

Our Covenant

Relationships at Mt. Pisgah are rooted in our shared beliefs and commitments. Our Church Covenant is a summary of the biblical commitments we make to one another. As members, we make promises to God and one another for how we will love and care for one another. Through these commitments, our church is a living, breathing display of God’s character to the world.
